Youth Explosion

Jesus said in Matthew 19:14, “ Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for such is the kingdom of heaven.” According to Statistics South Africa, approximately 66% of Black African youth and 44% of Coloured youth live in poverty. Many teenagers and young adults are the heads of their households due to sudden death of parents affected by HIV/AIDS. South African youth in poverty often hope for higher education as a means to a better life. However, access to higher education is often limited for those who are impoverished and from rural areas. Among the resources provided, Life Connection Ministries hosts an annual Youth Explosion which incorporates a Talent Show full of gifts, prizes, and fun. We foster an environment that easily creates an atmosphere so young people can learn to experience the power of God in their lives daily. Such an experience gives hope for a future and provides an outlet from their daily lives. In addition, our team visits local schools and host age appropriate tent crusades for an entire week.
